What’s being touted as St. Louis’ “ultimate food experience” is gearing up for another weekend of sampling and savoring some of the best menu items throughout the region.

Taste of St. Louis returns to the Chesterfield Amphitheater Sept. 15 to 17. A highlight of the festival is Restaurant Row, where more than 30 of the area’s best and most diverse establishments set up shop, offering fairgoers the opportunity to sample to their heart’s content. Every restaurant will be sampling two “Taste Bites,” smaller portions of their menu items, with each bite usually ranging in price from $2 to $8 a piece.

Another annual tradition is the Stella Artois Culinary Stage, where eight top local chefs compete in seven “battle” categories over three days. The winner is given the year’s Chef Battle Royale Champion title.

New this year is a music stage that will present several local bands, including Dirty Muggs, The Jeremiah Johson Band, The Mighty Pines and more. Another new feature is called The Village, featuring one-of-a-kind art, handmade crafts and jewelry. The event will also have a marketplace and a Kids’ Kitchen area complete with interactive activities.
