Peabody Opera House has announced the lineup for its upcoming 2018-2019 Broadway Series, and it features five popular musicals, including “Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical,” “Legally Blonde – The Musical,” “Something Rotten!,” “The Sound of Music” and “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”
“Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical” was the first Broadway show presented at the Peabody Opera House following its renovation and re-opening in 2011. The show and all the Whos in Whoville will return for seven performances, Dec. 13 to 16.
The international award-winning and ultimate Broadway tribute to girl power, “Legally Blonde – The Musical,” is coming to the Peabody for the first time on Feb. 4; followed by the irresistible ode to musicals, “Something Rotten!” on March 13; on March 30, the beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will present its Tony-, Grammy- and Academy Award–winning Best Score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss” and the title song; and the season wraps up on April 11 with a search for the Holy Grail with “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”
