Calvin Klein Not Showing at NYFW Following RAF Simons’ Exit

Calvin Klein will not show during New York Fashion Week in February 2019. The news was announced at the same time that Calvin Klein, Inc. and Raf Simons announced that Simons would be leaving his position as chief creative officer. Though both parties said they amicably decided to part ways, it was widely speculated that the end was near for this high profile union after the failure of Simons’ Fall 2018 ready-to-wear collection.

Calvin Klein, Inc.  said the brand decided on a new direction which differs from Simons’ creative vision. Simons was previously creative director at Christian Dior.

Raf Simons’s Fall 2018 CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC show at NYFW in February was staged in an epic and unreal terrain.
