Jenifer Lewis Book Tour at Webster University

Actress, comedian, singer, activist Jenifer Lewis returned to her alma mater, Webster University, to celebrate her memoir, “The Mother of Black Hollywood.” The native St. Louisan currently stars in the ABC comedy hit, “Black-ish,” and through the years, has appeared on stage, on television and in films such as “Beaches,” “Sister Act,” and “The Preacher’s Wife.”  Her recent appearance at the Loretto-Hilton Center on the Webster campus drew an enthusiastic crowd, many of whom were from her old North St. Louis County neighborhood. Photos by David Anderson. 

Trish Muyco-Tobin

An award-winning journalist, Trish Muyco-Tobin has served as a news reporter, anchor, executive producer and editor for print and broadcast for more than 20 years. She has been recognized for her media leadership and for promoting diversity, and for her role as a dedicated community volunteer. She is currently the community editor of Gazelle Magazine, and the author of The Melting Pot, Meet Me and The Trish Set.
