For a second year, local theatre companies are coming together to showcase the very best of their craft at the St. Louis Theatre Expo.

The Saturday, Sept. 29, event, Making A Scene: A St. Louis Theatre Expo, is presented by PNC Arts Alive and will be held at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.

Highlights include presentations from local artistic directors such as The Muny’s Mike  Isaacson, The Rep’s Steven Woolf and R-S Theatrics’ Christina Rios, as well as actors and behind-the-scenes professionals who make magic happen onstage.  Demonstrations, pop-up performances, backstage tours, children’s craft activities and more are also planned during the day.

Participating companies include The Rep, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, STAGES St. Louis, Stray Dog Theatre, St. Lou Fringe Festival, New Jewish Theatre and Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble.

The event is free, and runs from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts at 130 Edgar Road on the campus of Webster University.

This is the second St. Louis Theatre Expo; the inaugural event was held in 2016.
