Founded in 1955, the Women of Achievement Awards is the oldest, ongoing program in the area whose sole mission is to honor and recognize the volunteer service and volunteer leadership of women.

“The 2020 honorees have had incredible impact on the St. Louis community,” said Marian Nunn, Women of Achievement president. “They have impacted breast cancer survivors, supported education, supported women coming out of incarceration, helped international citizens integrate into St. Louis, used theater and other creative measures to involve the community, and have had a lifetime of volunteering.  The causes they support are cutting edge, creative and very much needed.  They saw a problem and were motivated to help find a solution.  They serve as an inspiration for our community.”

This year’s Women of Achievement Awards ceremony was filmed at the Fox Theatre in advance of the Sept. 14 broadcast. In addition to individual segments dedicated to each honoree, the program will feature highlights from Women of Achievement history and its role in the St. Louis area, as well as acknowledgement of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
