Celebrating New Year’s this year, like the rest of the holiday season, is different.

Ballroom bashes at fancy hotels and neighborhood parties are out. Dining in at your favorite eatery is still restricted, making it tough to party as we have in past years. But that isn’t stopping creative chefs, restaurateurs and destinations from offering 11th- hour options to ring in the New Year in style.

Counted among those options are carryout feasts, dining inside out, and hotel room service dinners. The following are a few of the standouts perfect for those still looking for a way to welcome in 2021 while supporting the area’s hospitality/restaurant community – ringing in the New Year by helping them keep their cash registers ringing.

Dining inside out: Kemoll’s Chop House’s designer lighted and heated tent has become the gold standard for creating an elegant dining venue. It’s open New Year’s Eve though the holiday weekend, where one will be able to toast a brighter New Year and order the rare treat that is making a return for the holiday – Mrs. Kemoll’s Fried Artichokes.

Gourmet grab and go: Beyond dinner options wrapped for carryout, consider ordering an appetizer buffet to go. Cravings in Webster Groves has plenty of glitzy appetizers, ranging from international favorites, such as Spanakopita and Arancini, to Cravings’ unique small bites treats, Tater Tots with Cheesy Béchamel and Bruschetta with Blue Cheese, Rosemary and Fresh Plums.
