The Rep Stages Puppet Theatre Amid Winter Wonderland

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is debuting its first-ever drive-through puppet extravaganza this weekend – a one-of-a-kind immersive arts experience for the whole family!

“The Glowy Snowy Day” is a free, kid-friendly event on the Webster University campus to be experienced from the safety of your vehicle as you drive through a magical winter adventure along 14 breathtaking scenes featuring colossal, glowing puppets. Puppeteers, glow artists and other performers recreate the tale of Ezra Jack Keats’ award-winning children’s book, “The Snowy Day,” about a young boy’s exploration of his neighborhood amid fresh fallen snow.

Presented in conjunction with StoneLion Puppet Theatre, The Rep’s puppet extravaganza takes place on Friday, Jan. 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event takes place between Big Bend Boulevard and Lockwood Avenue, just across the street from The Rep on the Webster University campus. Enter from Big Bend at Plymouth Avenue (behind Webster Hall), where signs will direct vehicles to the event entrance, as well as provide instructions on how to access “The Glowy Snowy Day” narration podcast from smartphones.

The event is free; no reservations are required. For more information, visit The Rep’s official event page.
