PAINT – the newest nail bar in town – is a little different than most.
The luxury salon offers a fume-free experience.
Owned by Dustin and Whitney Cole, it will officially open its doors on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 18 The Blvd in Brentwood. Doors open at 10 a.m., and a grand opening party featuring food and beverages, will be held at 6 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 14 – open to the public.
“At PAINT, we are all about the health and integrity of the natural nail, and everything in our salon focuses on that,” said Whitney Cole. “As far as the PAINT experience, it is unlike any other. In fact, when I first walked into Paint Nail Bar in Sarasota, Florida, I knew I had to find a way to bring this to St. Louis. It is a place that welcomes people of all ages and encourages community.”
PAINT offers a high-end, hygienic and environmentally friendly experience at an affordable price. All tools used during nail services are sterilized in a hospital-grade autoclave. Certain tools, such as buffers and manicure sticks, are used only once. All polish lines are nontoxic and 5-, 7- and 9-free, meaning they don’t contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor or DBP (dibutyl phthalate).
The salon also utilizes water-based gel polishes that will not damage the natural nail. LED lamps, as opposed to UV lamps are used, and only ceramic pedicure basins (as opposed to pedicure whirlpool jets) are used, because they are guaranteed to not harbor bacteria.
This location, the 10th overall, and only the second in the Midwest, offers several services, including traditional manicures and pedicures, a sculpted gel option and a mini-PAINT, designed for children, aged 10 and under. At just under 2,300 square feet, the location will open with a staff of nail technicians and an array of jewelry and accessory lines brought in by various local artisans and small businesses from across the country.
“PAINT provides luxury in a healthier environment – and a healthier place to work for the nail technicians,” Cole said. “Everyone, including pregnant women and children, can come in feeling confident they won’t be assaulted with harmful fumes and products. Music will be playing, and drinks and treats await our customers. We are truly more than ‘just a nail salon.’”
Though walk-ins are welcome, appointments are highly recommended.
PAINT welcomes parties, bridal showers, corporate meetings, birthdays and other group events. The Coles plan to add additional PAINT Nail Bar locations throughout the region over the next three years. Today, PAINT has 10 locations: Sarasota, Florida; Aventura, Florida; Lubbock, Texas; Rochester, Michigan; Charlotte, North Carolina; St. Pete, Florida; Nashville; Wayzata, Minnesota; Overland Park, Kansas; and now, St. Louis, with more on the way.
