One of the biggest celebrations in downtown St. Louis, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, is in its 51st year. The event draws more than 250,000 spectators, who come with their smiling Irish eyes and decked in festive green. See more than 120 units, such as marching bands, floats and giant cartoon-character balloons, as well as 5,000-plus marchers and, of course, plenty of clowns. Rain or shine, the parade begins near St. Louis Union Station at 20th and Market streets, and proceeds east to conclude at Broadway and Clark streets.
