Live concerts are back at The Muny!

The Muny stage is preparing for a live concert for the first time in 30 years: John Legend will perform on Saturday, Sept. 7, with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

The EGOT-winning, multiplatinum musician will present John Legend: A Night of Songs and Stories with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, performing intimate re-imaginings of his greatest hits, such as “All of Me,” “Ordinary People” and “Tonight.”

The evening will also feature unexpected stories from Legend’s life and career, and selections from his most recent release, “LEGEND.” The Muny concert is Legend’s first-ever performance with the SLSO.

The last concert held at The Muny featured the Moody Blues and Kansas in 1991. Other notable artists who have performed on the Muny stage include Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Sting, Barry Manilow, Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers and Hank Williams Jr.

Tickets for John Legend: A Night of Songs and Stories are $75 to $300, and go on sale at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20, via Metrotix.

The Muny will also offer tickets to its “free seats,” with details to be announced at a later date
