Newly crowned Emmy Award winner RuPaul will be in St. Louis to promote his memoir, “The House of Hidden Meanings.”
The international drag superstar and host of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will appear at The Pageant on Monday, March 11, at 7 p.m. for an evening of stories and “spiritual awakening” to celebrate the release of his memoir.
Proceeds benefit the St. Louis County Library Foundation’s community literacy initiatives.
RuPaul’s long-running reality series won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program earlier this month, marking its fifth win in the category. As executive producer of one of the world’s largest television franchises, RuPaul holds the Guinness World Record for most Emmy wins for Outstanding Host of Reality/Competition Program, as well as most Emmy awards of any Black artist in history.
The pop-culture icon is known for breaking down barriers and promoting self-expression and acceptance. In 2017, he was named one of the TIME 100 list of the world’s most influential people.
Individual tickets start at $75 and includes one copy of “The House of Hidden Meanings.” Preferred seating and a limited number of VIP meet-and-greet tickets are also available. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase.
