Drag queen extraordinaire and star of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Alyssa Edwards has recently collaborated with beauty brand Anastasia Beverly Hills for a limited-edition palette, featuring Edward’s must-have colors for drop-dead gorgeous looks.
“I don’t get cute. I get drop-dead gorgeous … and now, you can, too!” Edwards said. “My dream for this palette was to create a color story that will give you life – one that will bring out the inner beast in everyone.”
The collaboration is just one of many things happening for Edwards, whose YouTube web series has garnered more than 115 episodes, and a new documentary, “Dancing Queen,” based on Justin Johnson’s (aka Edwards) life and dance studio, debuted in October on Netflix.
He grew up in a large family where everyone had to agree on what show to watch, and “Who’s the Boss?” featuring Alyssa Milano, was the favorite family pick and inspiration for Edwards’ stage first name. The Mesquite, Texas native is an inspiration for fans to never give up. He was the first and currently, the only queen to have five low placements in a row on a season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” before being eliminated.
