Heiress and fashion icon Gloria Vanderbilt has died at age 95 at her home in Manhattan, after being diagnosed with stomach cancer earlier this month.
She was a member of the prominent Vanderbilt family of New York, and the mother of CNN television anchor Anderson Cooper. Vanderbilt led a sensational life, building a business empire that included clothes, perfumes and household goods bearing her name.
