So long, farewell, good riddance. I’m ready to kiss 2021 goodbye and celebrate.
I’m not alone. After last year’s shutdown, chefs and mixologists across our region can’t wait to welcome guests back to ring in 2022. Here are five foodie-centric picks that promise savory fare and popping corks – all great options to see the old year out and ring the New Year in.
The Inns at St. Albans
You’re invited to bid adieu to 2021 and toast to new beginnings this New Year’s Eve at The Inns at St. Albans Old Barn Inn, a rustic chic outpost that promises it will keep the fireplaces roaring and Champagne on ice, while providing an appetizer buffet, cash bar and Garden Glow tours of its landscaped grounds. Reservations begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person. Or, if you’re looking to celebrate big, book a room on the premises for the night at The Lodge, the Inns at St. Albans’ newest addition.
Vicia’s NYE Soirée
Vicia’s New Year’s Eve Soirée takes guests on an around-the-world trip via an interactive dine-around experience with food stations highlighting cuisines from around the world, visiting a new country every hour, which includes the food and drinks from France, Italy, Spain, and Burma. Tickets range from a food-only ticket to an all-inclusive ticket that lets you enjoy the sparkling wine bar featuring magnums of Champagne specialty cocktails and spirit tastings.
Three Sixty’s New Year’s Eve Bash
Corks will be popping at Three Sixty’s rooftop bar at the top of the St. Louis Hilton at the Ballpark. Enjoy chef-curated cuisine, a craft cocktail and a Champagne toast while taking in the fireworks from the best viewing perch in downtown. The night includes live music and roaming performers to help make the night a little merrier. Three Sixty has also partnered with the Hilton at the Ballpark to give guests a preferred rate for overnight accommodations – a chance to spend the day at Ballpark Village where you can take in New Year’s bowl games and indulge in brunch.
New Year’s Eve Riverboat Cruises
Party like it’s 1922 at the dawn of the New Year aboard the Riverboats at The Gateway Arch. Enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres, an open beer and wine bar, party favors and of course, a Champagne toast. The theme is the Roaring Twenties and the prohibition era. Guests are encouraged to come aboard the Gateway Arch Riverboats floating speakeasy in 1920s attire because someone will be crowned Best Dressed of the night. An earlier dinner cruise casts off at 4:30 p.m. and returns at 7 p.m., featuring a chef-curated, plated dinner and a mock countdown to midnight with a Champagne toast
9 Mile Garden’s Black Tie New Year’s Eve
9 Mile Garden hosts a most unusual Black Tie New Year’s Eve bash, where black ties are recommended, but not required. The party begins at 8 p.m., and feature live jazz by the Frontenac Trio, an unlimited open bar, a snack buffet and a Champagne toast at midnight. The night includes streaming live ball drop from Times Square on the big screen. Individual tickets are $60; $100 for couples.
