For anyone who has ever dreamed of being that daring young man (or woman) on the flying trapeze, you now have the chance to experience the thrill for yourself.
Circus Harmony is offering everyone the opportunity to learn to experience the excitement of flight with TrapezeSTL as part of the Circus Harmony Experience on Josephine Baker Blvd., next to Circus Flora, under the Big Top at 3402 Washington Ave. in St. Louis.
An hour before each Circus Flora evening and weekend show, June 6 to 30, audience members can feel what it’s like to be part of the circus. Anyone can step up and learn how to spin a plate, twirl a hoop or juggle. TrapezeSTL will offer $10 pay-per-swings as part of the Circus Harmony Experience.
TrapezeSTL will also offer flying trapeze classes Tuesday through Sunday in June, when you will have the chance to flip and fly, with a net in place, and students are strapped into a safety belt. To take a full class, register online at trapezestl.com.
Edward Jones, Midwest Bank Centre, Jim and Mindy Watson, Explore St. Louis, and Harald H. Boerstler and Randy Lemmons helped make the Circus Harmony Experience possible.
Circus Harmony is St. Louis’ only social circus. It teaches the art of life through circus education, working to build character and expand community for youth of all ages, cultures, abilities and backgrounds. Through the teaching and performing of circus arts, it helps people defy gravity, soar with confidence and leap over social barriers, all at the same time. To learn more, visit circusharmony.org.
