This year’s daylong festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, will feature crowd favorites such as the People’s Joy Parade, Lucha Libre wrestling and music on three grand stages. New this year is the Battle de Bandas competition among solo acts and bands. There will also be dance performances, bull rides, a Kids Zone, plenty of authentic food and drink and more.
The festival, which began more than 15 years ago, attracts as many as 50,000 to the celebration, which stretches along Cherokee Street from Jefferson Avenue to Nebraska Avenue. Organized by the nonprofit Cherokee Street Foundation, the event has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse festivals in the St. Louis area.
