Parking will be difficult, lines will be long and security will be tight. This Saturday, more than 70,000 fans will come together to see one man center stage in the Dome at America’s Center for the largest concert the venue has ever seen.
Country music star Garth Brooks will kick off his sold-out Stadium Tour with the monumental show in St. Louis, a few months after he debuted his new song, “Stronger than Me,” at the CMAs in a surprise serenade to his musician wife Trisha Yearwood that left the audience in tears.
Last year, Brooks finished a record-breaking, three-and-a-half-year world tour with Yearwood, which smashed previously held records by such acts as The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Brooks himself.
Even though the show is sold out, tickets still remain for Trisha’s tailgate party in Baer Plaza, directly across the street from The Dome, prior to Brooks’ show. Tickets are $95 per person and are available at Eventbrite, and includes unlimited food and two drink tickets. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m.
With tens of thousands of people attending, parking may be a challenge. Visit getaroundstl.com for garage options. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Among his many accomplishments, Brooks has been awarded CMA Entertainer of the Year six times, a first for any artist. He is also the first artist in history to receive seven Diamond Awards for seven albums at over 10 million album sales each, and remains the No. 1-selling solo artist in U.S. history, with over 148 million album sales.
