There are signs of a steady rebound from the pandemic at the Gateway Arch National Park.
Attendance at the park increased by 41% in 2022, according to the National Park Service. And while the effects of the pandemic on tourism continue, the increase in numbers show a trend toward pre-pandemic levels.
Visitation at the Arch grew by almost 475,000 from 1.15 million to approximately 1.62 million. And this year, there are signs the trend will continue, with officials reporting the highest January tram ridership in 17 years.
The Gateway Arch National Park is among the most visited attractions in the St. Louis area. The park includes the Gateway Arch, the arch grounds and the Old Courthouse.
