Gazelle’s Suzanne Corbett Wins National Award

Gazelle’s own Suzanne Corbett is a recent winner in the National Federation of Press Women’s 2019 National Communications Contest.

Corbett, cuisine writer at Gazelle, placed first in the Columns- Informational (Q&A, how-to, advice) category for two pieces. The first, “Let’s Get Saucy This Summer (or “Summer Sauces”)” ran in Gazelle magazine’s July 2018 edition, and the second, “Thanksgiving with a Twist,” appeared in the November 2018 edition of the magazine!

NFPW president, Marianne Wolf-Astrauskas, congratulated Corbett on her well-deserved award, and told her that competition this year was stiff, and she should be proud of her accomplishment.

Corbett is eligible to be honored, along with all winners in the communications contest, at the National Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 28, at NFPW’s national conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Corbett is also the author of “The Gilded Table,” “Pushcarts & Stalls: The Soulard Market History Cookbooks” and  “Unique Eats and Eateries of St. Louis.”  She can be contacted at suzannecorbett@me.com.

Vicki is an award-winning journalist, editor, writer and photographer, and co-author of the non-fiction book, A Life in Parts. She has edited several books for publication, and worked as an independent journalist, writer, editor and consultant for businesses in a variety of industries. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and has traveled extensively all over the world, particularly the United Kingdom, and lived in Australia for two years. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
