Grande Cosmetics has recently announced a $200,000 donation to the nonprofit organization, Feeding America, the nation’s most extensive domestic hunger-relief organization.
The brand’s Beauty From The Heart campaign was created in March in response to COVID-19. The contribution will help provide food for people most in need during this unprecedented time.
“Wow, this campaign has been beyond personally and professionally rewarding,” Grande Cosmetics founder, Alicia Grande, said. “The outpouring of support from our fans and the beauty community has been overwhelming. I am so proud of our community for coming together to help us donate $200,000 to Feeding America. Two months after the initial outbreak, many Americans are still facing hardships, so I know this donation will go toward ensuring food security for those who need it the most.”
States are starting to open for business, and life is slowly returning to normal, however, many Americans are still dealing with food insecurity. The increase in demand for food supplies has left many grocery store shelves empty and many school districts across the United States indefinitely shuttered. The students who depended on school meals for daily nutrition have been left without meals.
Feeding America is a United States-based nonprofit foundation that owns over 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. For more information about Feeding America’s response to the COVID-19 crisis, visit feedingamerica.org.
