Looking for fireworks to celebrate the three-day weekend?
To kick off the unofficial start of summer, Grant’s Farm is hosting two nights of fireworks this Memorial Day weekend, as well as live music and special food and drink pairings all weekend long.
Fireworks are set for Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, beginning at 9 p.m. on both nights. The band FanFare is on tap for Saturday evening and Well Hungarians performs Sunday night.
Grant’s Farm officials say they’ve taken steps to ensure animal safety during the fireworks.
“The fireworks we are using feature new technology that makes them safer, and we’ve conducted tests to ensure our animals will not be adversely affected by the shows,” said Doug Stagner, president of Grant’s Farm. “The health and safety of our animals is paramount.”
Admission to Grant’s Farm is free, and guests are invited to come in the evening, or spend the day at the park and stay to watch fireworks from the historic farm’s Bauernhof courtyard and Tiergarten zoo area.
Grant’s Farm is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, when the park is open until 9 p.m. as part of Summer Nights. Summer Nights features live music and new menu items each weekend. As always, guests 21 and older are welcome to complimentary beer samples from Anheuser-Busch.
