Lashana Lynch has reportedly been cast to play the role of the new Agent 007 (not James Bond) in “Bond 25,” and it has people excited. She would be the first woman and black actress to play this role. The film is set to hit theaters on April 8, 2020.

Lynch is of British nationality and Jamaican descent. She was born Dec. 12, 1987 in Hammersmith, London, and claims that she has always wanted to become a singer, having participated in a multitude of singing/songwriting competitions as a child. She eventually won “UK Unsigned” and graduated with an acting degree from Arts Educational Schools in London.

Although she is only 31, Lynch has a remarkable resume. She made her acting debut in the 2011 film, “Fast Girls.” Since then, she has been in numerous television shows, including “The 7.39,” “Silent Witness,” “Death in Paradise,” and also became a regular on the BBC comedy, “Crims.” Her biggest accomplishment to date is her role as Maria Rambeau in “Captain Marvel,” where she worked alongside legendary actors such as Samuel L. Jackson.
