July Publisher’s Note: We’re Taking a Break

Seriously, we are taking a break, but it’s for a good reason. I cannot tell you how many times I listen to interviews being conducted by my team in their offices, or hear the incredible stories that happened in-between the official interviews that make me wish we were capturing it all.

You see, it is one thing to read a story, but to watch the emotion on someone’s face, as they share the details of something that was life changing for them, is an even deeper experience. We have featured many remarkable women – and a few men – since our inception, and we sit down every now and then and chat about the little titbits that didn’t make the cut. You know … like a slight giggle of joy from a St. Louis leader when she shares the moment she met her husband, or the look of nostalgia as she thinks about her childhood home in a small town, while sharing how long and hard the journey to success was for her.

All these moments made us decide to step things up a bit and bring our readers a video component to some of the most-read sections.

Now this may sound like an overwhelming undertaking, except for that fact that most of the Gazelle team is made of former news women (in front of and behind the scenes) at KSDK, Fox 2, KMOV, KMOX, KTRS and more. This is what we do! It is in our DNA to tell stories and share things that you may find interesting.

But who are these characters at Gazelle you see in pictures or hear about? You can get to know us even better, because we are in the process of rolling out a number of podcasts, hosted by some members of our team. We are kicking things off in July with several new videos and shows, so be sure to keep up with us by visiting the videos page on our website.

We cannot do all of this without taking a step back. Think of it as a catapult. Our step back will be to skip the August print edition to accommodate the re-designing of our studio space for the various productions. I suppose you could say that we are putting our 2,000-square-foot studio and office space to even better use.

See you in September when we return with our exclusive anniversary party celebration and much more! You can, of course, keep up by reading new stories every day on gazellemagazine.com.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
