Live art, entertainment, food and drink abound in Maplewood this Friday for “Let Them Eat Art!” the city’s Bastille Day celebration.
More than 40 regional artists will be on hand to create art in the streets of downtown Maplewood for this interactive, whimsical event. The 15th annual celebration takes place from 6 to 10 p.m., and features artists engaging the public through demonstration and discussion about their process, technique and inspiration.
This year’s headliner on the Sutton Boulevard Main Stage will be ROBERTNELSON and Renaissance, with an opening performance by Rum Drum Ramblers. Samba Bom, Up All Night Acoustic, Circus Harmony and others are also slated to perform.
Other highlights include an appearance by the St. Louis Hoop Club, chalk drawing demonstrations, selfie experiences throughout the event site.
Food and drink from Maplewood dining establishments will be available for purchase, along with retailers offering special event-only promotions.
