Local Restaurants Offer Teacher Appreciation Week Giveaways

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and from May 2 to 6, a few St. Louis-area restaurants are offering treats and other special offers for educators. The list includes:

Edera Italian Eatery in the Central West End is celebrating teachers all week with a free cocktail for those with a valid school ID. From Monday, May 2, to Friday, May 6, teachers will receive their cocktail of choice, from a selection that includes the eatery’s signature Limoncello Martini and more.

Eckert’s Country Restaurant in Belleville, Illinois, has a free cookie for teachers who stop by the Country Store from Saturday, April 30, through Wednesday, May 4. In addition, on Monday, May 2, teachers will receive 50% off any entrée from the restaurant. Entrées include Chicken ‘n Dumplings, Country Fried Steak, Chicken Pot Pie and Fried Chicken.

Lion’s Choice Original Concretes

Lion’s Choice is treating teachers to a free Original Concrete: Just visit @LionsChoice on social media and take a screenshot of the free dessert coupon. Plus, the St. Louis-based chain is encouraging its followers on Instagram to nominate a deserving teacher for its “Treat a Teacher” giveaway. The winner receives a $300 catered lunch. Nominate a teacher through Monday, May 2. The winner will be announced Thursday, May 5.

Mission Taco Joint also has a social media giveaway: Nominate a teacher (or teachers can nominate themselves) to win a catered lunch to be delivered at the end of the school year. Submit your nomination via Mission Taco’s Instagram by Tuesday, May 3. The winner will be announced Friday, May 7.

Stop by Russell’s Fenton on Tuesday, May 3, to receive a free, from-scratch bakery treat with a valid school ID. There are so many choices, including a slice of Russell’s famous Gooey Butter, cookies and more.
