In Maplewood, Sweet Dreams are Made of These

Maplewood has a really sweet deal for you this weekend: The ninth annual Sweet Tooth Tour takes place Saturday, Jan. 22, in downtown Maplewood.

The event, from noon to 5 p.m., is a self-guided walking tour through Maplewood’s downtown area, bringing together more than a dozen shops and other local businesses offering mouth-watering sweets. Offerings include French macarons, made-from-scratch waffles topped with ice cream, fresh-baked pie squares, dulce de leche empanadas and more.

Participating vendors are: Asado del Sur, Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream, Casa Maya, Chateau Maplewood, Great Harvest Baking Co., Kakao Chocolate, Living Room Coffee & Kitchen, Maplewood Deli & Coffeehouse, Mystic Valley, Pie Oh My!, Schlafly Bottleworks, Strange Donuts, Sweet Tooth Bakery, Tale to Table, The Blue Duck and Vom Fass. Stops at Vom Fass and Chateau Maplewood will include a wine pairing with their sweet treat.

The Maplewood Sweet Tooth Tour is a ticketed event, and tickets must be purchased by Thursday. Admission is $21 per person, with tickets available online via Eventbrite.

Face masks are required inside Maplewood businesses, along with observance of additional health and safety guidelines like social distancing, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. More details, including check-in information, will be emailed to ticket-holders.
