Meet Me at Cedar Lake Cellars

Cedar Lake Cellars in Warren County, Missouri, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this fall with a 10-week celebration, featuring live music, specials and epic events, the largest so far being the spectacular fireworks show, Pyromania. Less than 60 miles from St. Louis, the winery is a perfect day trip or afternoon destination to enjoy various fun activities.

With more than 100 picturesque acres and two lakes, anchored by a charming big red barn and comforting ambiance, Cedar Lake Cellars is one of the finest cosmopolitan destinations in the Midwest.

The property expanded to more than 370 acres when owner Carl Bolm – who runs the winery with his wife, Gabriella – purchased Schreckengast Farm, including surrounding property and various outbuildings. The big red barn became the flagship of the property, hosting more than 100 weddings and hundreds of private events each year, including business meetings and special celebrations.

Running a business with multiple levels of operation is not easy, but Gabriella Bolm has a way of keeping things innovative and exciting. Gazelle spoke to the Bolms when they were featured in the magazine’s annual “Influence List” edition.

“I enjoy the partnership that I share with my husband – at work and home – so my goal is to continue our ongoing teamwork,” Gabriella Bolm said. “And I will keep encouraging women to be the best they can be, based on their own hopes and dreams.”

In 2010, the Bolms restored another building on the property and opened the wine tasting bar and restaurant. Prior to being restored, it served as a machine shed and storage area.

Over the next 10 years, the Smokehouse, Little Red Barn and the distinctive Barrel Room were constructed, adding food and beverage options, cozy private event areas and captivating all-season spaces.

On Oct. 10, Cedar Lake Cellars will host a huge Fall Fest with an all-day party, specialty drinks, yard games, Clydesdales, fire pits and plenty of space for social distancing. There will be live music throughout the day and a fireworks show in the evening. To attend, visit cedarlakecellars.com.
