A national concert tour celebrating “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin is coming to St. Louis later this fall.
“R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” will make its North American debut at the King’s Theatre in Brooklyn in October and will make its way to Stifel Theatre in St. Louis on Nov. 6. The concert is touted as an “electrifying tribute experience” celebrating Franklin, whose musical legacy spanned more than 50 decades.
Franklin, who died Aug. 16, 2018 at age 76, was one of the world’s bestselling artists, surpassing more than 75 million in record sales, and is considered one of the greatest artists of all time.
The cast for “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” was announced yesterday following a national casting search. It includes lead singer Trejah Bostic, and vocalists Meghan Dawson, Nattalyee Randall and Ashton Weeks, who will also host.
“R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” follows the music legend’s story through a soundtrack of the hits that made her the Queen of Soul and features iconic hits such as “Natural Woman,” “Think,” “I Knew You Were Waiting for Me,” “Chain of Fools,” “Respect” and many more!
The brand-new production is an adaptation of “RESPECT – The Aretha Franklin Story,” which is currently playing to sold-out audiences in Australia.
Tickets for the Nov. 6 St. Louis show at Stifel Theatre will be on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, via Ticketmaster. Ticket prices range between $31.50 and $71.50.
