The St. Louis County Library’s new Eureka Hills Branch is slated for completion in the summer of 2021. With a preliminary budget of $6.5 million, the new building at 500 Workman Road will more than double the size of the current branch, which is in a leased strip-mall property at Eureka Towne Center.
“We are thrilled to be building a brand new, state-of-the-art library for the residents of Eureka,” said library director Kristen Sorth. “This is a community that loves their library, and we look forward to bringing expanded library service to the area.”
The new 15,000-square-foot facility will be a full-service library featuring an expanded collection of materials, as well as areas for children and for teens, a reading room and private study rooms, space for programming, a community meeting room and a business center. The building will be adjacent to a new housing development and elementary school.
The current branch at Eureka Towne Center will remain open during construction.
