There’s a new beer in town for you cool cats – and it raises funds and awareness for the Saint Louis Zoo and its animals.

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company has released its new seasonal STL Zoo Bier Big Cat Golden Pilsner. The new brew is part of the STL Zoo Bier series, created in 2019 by Urban Chestnut in partnership with the zoo to raise awareness about the important of animal welfare and conservation.

The Big Cat Golden Pilsner features an Amur leopard on the label. The leopard species is one of the rarest, most endangered cats in the world. Big Cat Country is home to the Amur leopards at the Zoo, including two female cubs born on April 21, 2022.

The pilsner-style beer is now available at the zoo, and will be available next week at grocery stores and beer retailers in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County and the Metro East area.

For every case of STL Zoo Bier sold at area retailers, Urban Chestnut will donate $3 to the Saint Louis Zoo to support its animal care and conservation work.

Since 2019, more than 4,000 cases of STL Zoo Bier have been sold.
