Night Markets at Winterfest Promise Wintry Fun

The winter wonderland that is Winterfest in downtown St. Louis has announced the lineup for its Night Markets, with plenty of local holiday shopping, food trucks and entertainment for all ages.

The upcoming Winterfest Night Markets at Kiener Plaza are on Saturday, Dec. 11, and Friday, Dec. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. on both nights. Each night has a theme and will feature local vendors, performances from street musicians, circus artists, costumed characters and others, and menu offerings from area food trucks.

A heated vendor tent will feature a lineup of more than two dozen vendors, including: Sophia’s Crowns Flower Shop, Annecole Custom Creations, Magical Bath, Bark n Sniff, Cross Cut Papers, Makeeda Yohari Crochet Creations, Salem Hemp Kings, Love Local STL, Creative Reaction Lab, Posie Pots and 3D Prints, 13th and Canna, Bold Xchange, Pure Vibes Co-Op, Festival King, Selfish Joy, Diversity Gallery, Dr. Jam, Cheryl’s Herbs Group, Sedara Sweets, Official Tea Times, Jack’s Salsa, Cupcake Fetish Cafe, The Flavored Pickle Bar, Just Popped, Inali Jewelry Designs, Social Goods Marketplace, and Freedom and the Moon.

A Fire & Ice Family Festival is planned for Saturday, Dec. 11, with family-friendly entertainment and “hot-and-cold fun.” Enjoy performances from carolers, musicians and fire artists, as well as tarot readings. Guests will have the opportunity to create their own “Winter Wonderwand.” Food will be available for purchase from a number of local food trucks, including JR’s Gourmet, Balkan Treat Box, Abby’s and Curtis J BBQ.

On Friday, Dec. 17, guests are encouraged to attend in their best winter attire for a Frozen Masquerade. A royal winter court will preside over Kiener Plaza, with a “visual spectacle” curated by artist Vanessa Rudloff featuring an Icy King, Queen and Jester, as well as a Winter Fairy, decked out in elaborate costumes. Street musicians and Circus Harmony performers will also be on hand. Food trucks on site include Clara B’s, JR’s Gourmet, Balkan Treat Box, Abby’s and Curtis J BBQ.

Winterfest Night Markets are free to attend, and will take place rain or shine, so guests should dress for the weather. COVID-19 protocols apply for indoor spaces, with masks required inside the heated vendor tent.
