St. Louis-based Lucia’s Pizza, which makes frozen-pizza brands Mama Lucia’s and 4 Hands Brewery-Inspired Pizza, is searching for a grandma – but not just any grandma: The right person will become the brand’s social media ambassador, offering wisdom, advice and uncensored opinions as a paid influencer.
The company, inspired by the rise of “grandma” influencers on TikTok, is accepting applications for a social media ambassador, a yearlong stint with a paid contract.
As spokesperson, the right “nonna” will offer lifestyle hacks, cooking advice and other opinions on topics of her choice on-camera. Being Italian is not a requirement, but ideally, this person is 60 years old or older; has a compelling life story; interested and competent in cooking; sassy, opinionated and loving; and, of course, loves pizza.
The role, which pays $200 a month, requires a commitment of up to two hours per month of video and/or photo shoots to appear on the brand’s social media pages, along with potential radio and TV appearances.
Anyone interested is asked to apply online, and will have to submit a headshot, along with video prompts to assess on-camera presence, personality and “life outlook.” Among the sample questions is, “What’s the one piece of advice you’d give to the next generation to live a happy life?”
Applications will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 16. For more information, click on the official job listing by Lucia’s Pizza.
