The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is delaying the start date of its upcoming season until at least December.
The Rep’s 2020-2021 season was slated to begin in September with “Little Shop of Horrors,” but after months of consultations between its leadership and board and other local cultural institutions, it is postponing its opening date to ensure the safety of the audience, artists, staff and volunteers.
For now, The Rep plans to reopen in December with “A Christmas Carol,” and then run an extended winter/spring season in 2021. A formal announcement on its rescheduled season is expected on Sept. 1.
