Supporters and friends of The Sheldon celebrated the re-opening of its premiere event space, now renamed The Konneker Room, during its recent gala.
The April 2 event began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the ballroom, followed by dinner in The Konneker Room, named in honor of longtime benefactors, the late Wilfred and Ann Lee Konneker, whose $3 million bequest is the largest ever individual gift to The Sheldon.
The evening was capped off with a concert featuring Tony and Grammy award-winning artist Heather Headley.
Lori and Ted Samuels served as event chairs, with honorary chair, Barbara Konneker Webster. Proceeds benefit the concerts, gallery exhibitions and educational programs of The Sheldon.
