From now until Dec. 22, your visit to The Sheldon can make a difference for St. Louisans in need.
The Sheldon and the St. Louis Area Foodbank are partnering to collect food and personal care items this month to help area families, seniors and veterans.
Suggested donations include canned meat, fish, chili, fruits and vegetables; instant mashed potatoes; peanut butter and jelly; rice and pasta products; juice and powdered milk; canned soup and beans; cereal, oatmeal and granola bars; personal care items; and feminine care and baby care products.
Donors may drop off items at The Sheldon’s street-level entrance on Washington Boulevard in Grand Center during public gallery hours: noon to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Donated goods may also be brought in for collection before any Sheldon concert.
The Sheldon shares St. Louis Area Foodbank’s belief that “food is a powerful catalyst for change that doesn’t just feed individuals; it empowers people and makes entire communities stronger.” With a mission to provide the St. Louis community and beyond with “Arts Without Borders,” The Sheldon breaks down barriers, making music and visual art accessible to all.
