Schlafly Beer’s Stout & Oyster Festival – considered the largest of its kind in the Midwest – is returning this year to the Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis.

The event on Friday, March 25 (5 to 9 p.m.), and Saturday, March 26 (11 a.m. to 9 pm), will feature 80,000 fresh oysters from both coasts, 25 professional shuckers and more than 15 stouts exclusive to the festival.

The festival is Schlafly’s most popular beer festival of the year. However, due to the pandemic, it hasn’t been held since 2019. The event is free to attend, with food and beer available for purchase.

Schlafly works directly with participating oyster farmers – the professional “star shuckers” from all across North America who shuck oysters on-site all weekend. East Coast and West Coast shuckers will each offer three varieties of raw oysters at three raw bars inside the Tap Room, as well as outside in the “Shuckerdome.” Non-oyster food items will also be available for purchase.

In addition, Schlafly is bringing back its Stout Sampler, with rotating specialty stouts, including Tabasco Stout, Red Hot Riplet Stout, Chocolate Cherry Stout, Maplewood Coffee Stout featuring La Cosecha coffee, St. Charles Coffee Stout featuring Course coffee and more, as well as a special Oyster Stout to commemorate the 2022 festival. Live music from several bands is also on tap throughout the festival.
