Subtle Peach Hue Declared 2024 Color of the Year

You could say 2024’s Color of the Year is peachy keen – well, Peach Fuzz, to be exact.

Pantone has declared 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, a shade it calls a subtly, sensual peach hue as its Color of the Year. The Pantone Color Institute, a leading source of color expertise, describes Peach Fuzz as one that “captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others.” The shade, Pantone says, brings “a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.”

Velvety, warm and cozy, Peach Fuzz is nestled between pink and orange – what Pantone calls “a fresh approach to new softness.”

The clean peach tone is ideal for introducing a welcoming ambience and gentle warmth to home interiors on walls, in home décor or as an accent within a pattern.

For hair and beauty, Pantone suggests using the versatile shade to add an ethereal, reflective finish to hair, or to create a natural rosy glow to flatter complexions across a variety of undertones. Peach Fuzz can also enliven the skin and promote a fresh and youthful appearance to eyes, lips and cheeks, especially when paired with earthy browns – or a more dramatic look when combined with deep reds and plums.
