Gazelle Media founder and publisher Cillah Hall has named award-winning journalist Trish Muyco-Tobin editor-in-chief of Gazelle magazine. Most recently the magazine’s community editor, Muyco-Tobin has served as a news reporter, anchor, executive producer and editor for print and broadcast for more than 25 years.

“I’m thrilled to have Trish in this new leadership role because I’ve seen firsthand her love for St. Louis and commitment to highlight the best that our region has to offer,” said Hall, who founded the print and online publication in 2014. “During the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trish focused on telling the stories that mattered, sharing the great work of nonprofits and finding news that gave us hope. That’s the heart of a Gazelle.”

Muyco-Tobin has covered some of the biggest local and national news stories over the span of her career, including the Great Flood of 1993, presidential campaigns and elections, and the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing and 9/11 terror attacks. She has been recognized for her journalism excellence and media leadership, and for promoting diversity, philanthropy and the arts, as well as for her role as a dedicated community volunteer, serving on the boards of several St. Louis nonprofits over the years. She is the author and columnist of Gazelle’s The Melting Pot, Meet Me Travels and The Trish Set; and the host of #TheStirPodcast.

“I have witnessed Gazelle’s evolution from the onset, and what has always stood out is its worldly, inclusive approach to storytelling, as well as its diverse leadership team and its forward-looking mentality,” Muyco-Tobin said. “I am elated about this new role and grateful to Cillah for the opportunity.”
