Catch a glimpse of the new mural on The Hill by visiting Volpi Foods’ storefront on Daggett Avenue.

The recently completed artwork by local artist Jordan Bauer is an homage to the historic neighborhood’s past, present and future through a series of lively, colorful “windows,” as well as a commemoration of Volpi’s 120th anniversary in 2022. Volpi Foods, the family-owned and -operated specialty cured meat company, is now on its fourth generation. Last July, Volpi announced an open call for mural concepts in celebration of its milestone anniversary. Following a public vote, Bauer was awarded $6,000 to bring his design to life on the store’s north-facing wall.

This deserves a standing ovation: This month marks Broadway’s return to the stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre following a prolonged intermission due to the pandemic.
