Urban Sprouts Hosts a Spectacular ‘Gala En Blanc’ to Benefit Area Families

Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis was covered in a sea of white on Saturday, Sept. 11, as hundreds of guests gathered for a spectacular “Miami Nights” themed fundraising event. “Gala En Blanc” is an annual benefit hosted by Urban Sprouts Child Development Center, with proceeds benefiting families served. This year’s co-chairs were St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones and Herschell and Erica Randall.

Founder and executive director Ellicia Lanier’s special, giving heart was captured at the event as the who’s who of St. Louis came out to support her efforts to empower children with quality education. The event raised $270,000 for programs that cultivate curiosity and imagination in a nurturing environment.

Saturday was proclaimed Ellicia Lanier Day in the City of St. Louis. Enjoy the highlights. Photos by Bryan Schraier.
