With the fall arts season in full swing in Grand Center, The Dark Room at The Grandel has unveiled a new menu, with items focused on flexibility and shareability, and complementing the soul and diversity of the artists and patrons who visit.
Operating under the auspices of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, The Dark Room offers guests the experience of an art gallery, premium cocktails and imaginative cuisine under one roof.
“The goal of The Dark Room has always been and continues to be tearing down the walls between artists and patrons,” said Kranzberg Arts Foundation executive director Chris Hansen.
“After two years, we know better who our audience and artists are. Our patrons and artists want high-quality, approachable food that’s soulfully prepared. This new menu equally appeals to patrons heading to theatre and dance performances and late-night concertgoers or musicians.”
The new menu, developed by a team under consultant and local restaurant veteran Gene Bailey (formerly of Baileys’ Restaurants Group), features snacks and starters, sandwiches, “fried baskets” and seasonally rotating classic American entrees.
Highlights include potato or cheeseburger Knishes, Cauliflower Bites, and Popcorn Chicken or Shrimp, served with house-made dipping sauces, under the Snacks & Share options, as well as Shrimp & Grits and BBQ Brisket under the Entrees section.
