Frosted Holiday Pop-Up Returns to Tower Grove Park

For eight days beginning today, Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park transforms into a winter wonderland.

Frosted, a pop-up cocktail experience, is making its return Dec. 16 to 23, with holiday-inspired cocktails, live entertainment and local food trucks.

Piper Palm House, along with its adjoining plaza with a heated tent, will offer a menu of themed cocktails created by Pat Gioia and the STL Barkeep team. Selections include: Down the Chimney (Makers Mark 46, brown sugar simple syrup, mole bitter, smoked top), Hearth Manhattan (Knob Creek Rye, George Spiked Pear Liqueur, sweet vermouth, orange bitters), Ornamental Excellence (Haku, pomegranate juice, Cocchi Rossa, lime) and Blood in the Snow (Hornitos Reposado, blood orange and cinnamon syrup, pineapple juice and lime). Bottles of a special label Knob Creek Single Barrel Bourbon, a nine-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon selected by Knob Creek’s distillers, will also sell for $55 a bottle and feature a commemorative Frosted label.

Live entertainment, curated by Jamo Presents, includes Dylan Triplett (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.) on Dec. 17, Gerard Erker of The Mighty Pines (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.) on Dec. 18, Kris Kringle and the Jolly Jingles (2 p.m. and 4 p.m.) and Saint Boogie Brass Band (6 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Dec. 19, Falling Fences (6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Dec. 21, Laka Laka (6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Dec. 22, and Celia’s Yuletide Express (6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Dec. 23.

Family-friendly festivities are also in store this weekend, Dec. 18 and 19. Frosted will open early at 11 a.m. and feature fun for all ages until 4 p.m. In addition, Sunday, Dec. 19, will also feature a special holiday shopping opportunity with the first ever Frosted Holiday Market, in partnership with Tower Grove Farmer’s Market. Vendors will be set up outside Piper Palm House Plaza, stretching to the east. Participating vendors will include African Arts, Ama Apothecary, Ascendent Jewelry Studio, Ellie’s Heat and Soothe, Eurnice Jean Candle Company, Green Rock Sewing, Hollis Leather Goods, Izzy’s Barkin’ Bandanas, Jon Blanco, Kakao, Kenyel’s Hand Poured Candles, Larder and Cupboard, Macs by Belle, Millis Meadows Mod Co, Mystic Baby, Oshun Aesthetics, Sistas’ Pop, Winston & Faith Baking Co. and Zingara Gems Jewelry. Participating food trucks include Farm Truk, The Fold, and S’more Shack.

Frosted is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. The event is for guests 21 and older, except from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 19. A portion of Frosted proceeds will benefit Tower Grove Park.
