Jeweler Adam Foster’s Winning ‘Lion Forge’ Moment at the Oscars

From a luxury brand perspective, few things get sweeter than having a special piece you created worn by a team with an Oscar nomination. Even fewer are the moments when that nominated film is the winner in its category.

On Sunday night, St. Louis-based Lion Forge Animation was a part of the special Oscar moment for Best Animated Short Film for the heart-warming, “Hair Love.”

The seven-minute film, directed by former football player Matthew A. Cherry, is about an African American father learning to do his daughter’s hair for the first time. Lion Forge co-founders David Steward II and Carl Reed both wore pieces created by Adam Foster Fine Jewelry, located in Frontenac. Their special moments were posted on Adam Foster Jewelry’s Instagram stories.

Adam Foster Fine Jewelry is co-owned by Foster, and Steward’s wife, Mary.
