A Lineup of Broadway’s Hottest Shows on Tap Next Season at the Fox

The lineup for the upcoming 2022-2023 Broadway season at the Fox Theatre features some of Broadway’s biggest shows, all of them making their Fabulous Fox premieres.

The 2023-2024 Broadway season at the Fox opens with “Beetlejuice” (Oct. 10 to 22), based on Tim Burton’s beloved film about a strange and unusual teenager named Lydia whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and demon in stripes.

Next up is “TINA – The Tina Turner Musical” (Nov. 14 to 26), the jukebox musical by Pulitzer Award-winning Katori Hall. “TINA” is set to an electrifying soundtrack featuring the greatest hits of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, who has sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in music history.

The hit musical, “Mrs. Doubtfire” (Dec. 26 to Jan. 7), under the direction of four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, is based on the box-office hit starring Robin Williams – a feel-good comedy for the whole family!

“Funny Girl” (Jan. 23 to Feb. 4) brings musical comedy heaven to the Fox with one of the most iconic scores of all time by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill. The Broadway revival features an updated book from Harvey Fierstein based on the original by Isobel Lennart.

The winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, “Company” comes to the Fox Feb. 27 to March 10. The new production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s groundbreaking musical comedy is helmed by three-time Tony Award-winning director Marianne Elliott.

“Moulin Rouge! The Musical” is the winner of 10 Tony Awards in 2020, including Best Musical. Based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film, the story comes to life onstage as a theatrical celebration of truth, beauty, freedom and – above all – love.

The St. Louis premiere of the multiple Tony Award-winning new musical, “MJ” (May 28 to Jun 9), showcases the greatest entertainer of all time. The story centers around the making of Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour, created by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage.

Cirque du Soleil’s “’Twas the Night Before…” (Nov. 29 to Dec. 10) is the troupe’s first Christmas show, based on the classic poem, “A Visit from Saint Nicolas.” Thrilling acrobatics, lovable characters and a soundtrack featuring re-invented Christmas favorites are among the highlights.

In addition, six additional Broadway shows are being offered as specials. They include: “Come from Away” (Nov. 3 to 5), Disney’s “Aladdin” (Dec. 12 to 17), “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical” (Dec. 23), “Jagged Little Pill” (Jan. 18 to 21), “Mamma Mia!” (Feb. 13 to 18) and “The Book of Mormon” (April 9 to 14).

New seven- and eight-show season ticket packages will go on sale Wednesday, June 21, with current  Broadway season ticket holders receiving their renewal information in the coming weeks.
