The riverboats at the Gateway Arch are officially open for the season.
This year marks the 60th year of riverboats cruising the Mississippi River in the shadow of the Gateway Arch.
Daily St. Louis Riverfront Cruises are now underway. The one-hour cruise, narrated by the boat captain or a National Park Service (NPS) ranger, explores the history of downtown St. Louis, its landmarks and architecture and the significance of the working river today.
On select days, the daily cruise features special narration from the NPS or the Missouri History Museum on topics such as the transportation of freight up and down the Mississippi or a better understanding of the river’s past and present.
The two-hour Skyline Dinner Cruise returns March 21. The cruise includes a chef-inspired menu, along with live music or a DJ. Guests are also able to relax on the top deck and take in the view of the St. Louis cityscape at night.
In addition, the Paddlewheel Café, St. Louis only waterfront dining destination, will open on the weekends beginning April 5. The café’s menu features pulled pork nachos, chicken Caesar wraps, pretzels and more.
