See and Be Seen: SLCL’s Great Gatsby Celebration

This deserves a standing ovation: More than $230,000 was raised during this weekend’s A Great Gatsby Celebration to benefit the St. Louis County Library Foundation!

The glitzy, sold-out affair did not disappoint, with plenty of feathers, pearls, fedoras and flat caps, and even flappers! Guests enjoyed glamorous lounge seating areas, Jay Gatsby- and Daisy-themed cocktails, a rotating selection of courses and live entertainment. A highlight of the evening had guests dancing the Charleston!

Proceeds from the event, which also featured a live auction and raffle drawing, support the foundation’s work to provide community-focused programming and resources such as social workers, healthy food initiatives and literacy tools for all ages at all of St. Louis County Library’s 20 branches.
