Can’t get enough of Halloween? The Central West End’s “legendary” street party returns to the neighborhood this weekend, with a whole slew of fun, including daytime costume parades for children, as well as dogs, plus trick-or-treating, live music and an adult street party when the sun goes down.
The all-day party on Saturday, Oct 29, will be held in the area around Maryland and Euclid avenues from 11 a.m. to midnight.
Free, family-friendly festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a Children’s Costume Parade complete with costumed characters, Cinderella’s Carriage, a dance party and more. The fun continues at noon with trick-or-treating at neighborhood businesses, followed by a Dog Costume Parade at 1 p.m., and live music from 2 to 6 p.m.
Evening festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with street performers, fire dancers, a flash mob, drag performances and live music on the main stage at Maryland Plaza and Euclid Avenue. An Adult Costume Contest also opens at 6 p.m., with registration required at the main stage. There is an entry fee of $25 per person, or $50 for two or more people.
The event that organizers say earned the Central West End Halloween Party its “legendary” status starts at 10 p.m. The sometimes scary, sometimes shocking but always fun-filled Adult Street Party goes on until midnight with live DJ music on the main stage.
