Get ‘On Your Feet!’ The Muny has announced its return to the stage in 2021, with its originally announced lineup from this year and performances to begin in early July.
After postponing this summer’s performances due to the pandemic, The Muny revealed its 2021 season lineup, with new dates and a new order for the original seven shows intended for 2020.
Live shows at The Muny are set to return July 5, with the season opener, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (July 5 to 11), followed by “Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins” (July 14 to 22), “Smokey Joe’s Café” (July 25 to 31), “The Sound of Music” (Aug. 3 to 9), “Sweeney Todd” (Aug. 12 to 18), “On Your Feet!” (Aug. 21 to 27), and “Chicago” (Aug. 30 to Sept. 5).
Over the next several months, Muny officials say they will continue to evaluate every aspect of its operation in relation to its audience, staff, cast, crew and community, in conjunction with city and health officials. With ongoing consideration for available information and guidance regarding the anticipated global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Muny staff are preparing for a delayed start of the 103rd season in July.
Current season ticket holders will be contacted personally in January with more information regarding their options and next steps. New subscriptions will go on sale March 22, and single tickets will be available June 1.
