Calling all St. Louis women! For the first time ever, a fundraising dinner called The Women’s Event will be held to benefit the St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer. The inaugural event on Wednesday, April 24, at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis will feature “Inside Edition” host and Emmy Award winner Deborah Norville as guest speaker. Kathy Ferrara, Eleanor Rosenbaum and Fran Zamler have been tapped as event co-chairs.
“This is going to be a very special, beautiful evening because it’s all about women joining forces with the men and raising money to make a difference in the lives of people in the St. Louis community,” Zamler told Gazelle. “I’m also doing this in honor of many of my friends and in memory of four incredible women: my mother, grandmother, aunt and cousin. Their strength and courage continue to inspire and guide me every day. The evening will be an inspirational night of celebration and hope!”
Since 1969, the St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer has raised and distributed more than $4 million to fund cancer-related organizations that focus on research, prevention and care for those in the St. Louis community, regardless of patients’ gender or age.
